Go with the flow, or the sun, the sea, the dolphins, your body and heart.

TRAVEL ITINERARY.

Day 1.

After arriving at Hurghada or Marsa Alam airport, we will travel by minibus to the port of Hamata (a 5-hour drive from Hurghada and approximately 2.5 hours from Marsa Alam). There, we will move to our new home for a week, the boat. Not only will the super-friendly crew be waiting to help you with your bags, but a delicious meal will also be waiting for you. Once our bellies are full, there will be a short briefing. Short, because after such a long day of traveling, you probably don't want too much information. We will sleep on the boat in the harbor that night.

Day 2.

The next morning, after the harbor police have given the green light, and while you may still be sleeping soundly, we will weigh anchor and depart for Sataya Reef. Depending on the wind (and waves), this is about a 2.5-hour sail. As soon as we arrive at the reef, breakfast will be waiting for us. After breakfast, there will be a detailed briefing about the dolphins, the reef, and swimming/snorkeling. And after a practice round of snorkeling, we can finally get into the water to meet the dolphins. Take it easy, no rush, we have the whole week, so no pressure.

Every day.

What makes our trip unique is that we don't offer a program and we surrender completely to the flow of the day. There is no clock, so we don't stick to a schedule. We keep it simple and live in the NOW. And there are only three things that guide our days:

  1. When the bell rings, the chef has delicious food ready for us. Three times a day there is a buffet, and tasty snacks in between.

  2. Once the dolphins have been spotted in the reef, we will go snorkeling with them. Twice a day. The first time before breakfast and the second time between lunch and sunset. Between breakfast and lunch, we explore one of the beautiful coral gardens and their thousands of fish. Good to know: you always have the choice of whether you want to go swimming with the dolphins, snorkel at a reef, or stay on the boat.

  3. The sun. It rises and sets, and your body probably follows suit.

But just because there is no program, it doesn't mean there is no room for whatever may come up. Just be spontaneous, because it feels right for you.

So, do you want to play games, sing, dance, meditate, color, work out, read, listen to music, share, swim, cuddle, jump off the boat, cry, do puzzles, talk, snorkel, do you want to discover the beautiful coral, do you want to sleep, etc... everything is possible and allowed. And our experience is that just as much magic and connection can arise on the boat as in the water with the dolphins.

Day 7.

The last day at sea always comes too soon. After our final dive with the dolphins in the morning, we sail to the beautiful uninhabited island of Siyal, where we can slowly get used to solid ground under our feet again. Here you can snorkel, relax, or go for a walk. And we collect the washed-up trash together, so that the birds that breed here can keep their beautiful place. In the evening, if you want, we let our hair down, thank the crew, and have a small farewell party.

Day 8.

This morning after breakfast, we will sail back to the harbor and say goodbye to our temporary home. We will depart again by minibus to Marsa Alam or Hurghada airport. If the flight times are in the (early) evening, we will stop at a beautiful beach along the way where we can take a dip in the water to admire the magnificent giant turtles. And then back home, satisfied, tired, and in disbelief at what this week has brought. Magic.
