Go with the flow, of the sun, the sea, the dolphins, your body and heart.

TRAVEL SCHEDULE.

Day 1.

After arriving at Hurghada or Marsa Alam airport, we drive by van to Hamata port (which is a 5-hour drive from Hurghada and about 2.5 hours from Marsa Alam). There we transfer to our new home for a week, the boat. There, not only is the super sweet crew waiting for us to give you a hand with your bag, but also a delicious meal is waiting for us. After our bellies are well filled, a short briefing follows. Short, because you probably don't want to get too much info after such a long day of travel. We sleep that night on the boat in the harbor.

Day 2.

The next morning after the harbor police give the green light, and when you may still be sound asleep, the anchors are cast loose and we leave for the Sataya Reef. This, depending on the wind (and waves) is about 2.5 hours of sailing. As soon as we arrive at the reef, breakfast is ready for us. After breakfast there is an extensive briefing about the dolphins, the reef and swimming/snorkeling. And after a practice round of snorkeling, we can finally get in the water to meet the dolphins. Quiet, no rush, we have the whole week, so no pressure.

All days.

The uniqueness of our trip is that we do not offer a program and we completely surrender to the flow of the day. There is no clock so we don't keep to a time. We keep it simple and in the NOW. And there are only 3 things that guide our days:

  1. When the bell rings, the chef has delicious food waiting for us. A buffet three times a day and tasty snacks in between.

  2. Once the dolphins are spotted in the reef, we go snorkeling with them. Twice a day. First time before breakfast and the second time between lunch and sunset. Between breakfast and lunch we explore one of the beautiful coral gardens and their thousands of fish. Good to know: you always have the choice if you want to go swimming with the dolphins, or if you prefer to snorkel at a reef, or if you stay on the boat.

  3. The sun. It rises and sets, and probably your body does with the sun.

But the fact that there is no program does not mean that there is no room for all that may pass. Just spontaneously, because it feels right for you.

So do you want to play games, do you want to sing, do you want to dance, do you want to meditate, do you want to color, do you want to do your work-out, do you want to read, do you want to listen to music, do you want to share, do you want to swim, do you want to cuddle, do you want to jump off the boat, do you want to cry, do you want to puzzle, do you want to talk, do you want to snorkel, do you want to discover the beautiful coral, do you want to sleep, etc... anything goes. And our experience is that just as much magic and connection can happen on the boat, as in the water with the dolphins.

Day 7.

The last day at sea, and it always comes too soon. After making our last dive with the dolphins in the morning, we sail to the beautiful uninhabited island of Siyal where we can slowly get used to solid ground under our feet again. Here you can still snorkel, relax, walk around. And together we collect the stranded garbage, so that the birds that nest here can keep their beautiful place. In the evening we -if you like- go off with our feet, thank the crew and have a little farewell party.

Day 8.

This morning after breakfast we sail back to the port and say goodbye to our temporary home. We depart again by van towards Marsa Alam or Hurghada airport. If the flight times are in the (early) evening, we stop along the way at a lovely beach where we can go into the water to admire the beautiful giant turtles. And then back home, fulfilled, tired, full of disbelief what this week has been allowed to bring. Magic.
